Facebook has acquired
Crowdtangle, a Baltimore, Maryland-based startup which detects trending stories and influencers. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. CrowdTangle was founded in 2011, and lets publishers track influencers on social platforms, see how they are doing versus competitors, and more. The company had raised $2.2M in funding from such investors as Betaworks, Advancit Capital, BoxGroup, and Lerer Hippeau Ventures.
