Magento Commerce, which develops e-commerce software, has raised $250M in an investment round, from Hillhouse Capital. Magento said the funding goes towards growth strategy, worldwide expansion of sales, marketing & client support, new product innovation and future acquisitions. Hillhouse and Magento said that Permira funds will continue to own a majority stake in the company. Magento is led by Mark Lavelle.
