UberCloud Finds $1.7M
Los Altos-based UberCloud, which provides cloud infrastructure for technical simulation, has raised $1.7M in what it calls a "Pre-A" funding round. The funding was led by Earlybird Venture Capital. EarlyBird's Roland Manger joins the company's board as part of the funding. Ubercloud uses "container" technology for engineering and science simulation, using existing cloud infrastructure. Wolfgang Gentzsch is co-founder and President of UberCloud.
