ZELTIQ Acquired By Allergan For $2.47 Billion
Pleasanton-baed ZELTIQ Aesthetics, a developer of body contouring products for the aesthetic medicine market, has been acquired by Allergan plc, in a deal worth $2.47 billion in cash, the two said this morning. ZELTIQ, which is traded on the NASDAQ s ZLTQ, develops products used to reduced unwanted fat through controlled cooling. ZELTIQ had its IPO in 2011.
