VMware Acquires Wavefront
Palo Alto-based VMware said on Wednesday that it is buying Wavefront, a provider of metrics monitoring services for the cloud. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Wavefront's President and CEO is Pete Cittadini. Wavefront will become part of VMware's Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings, according to the companies. Wavefront was venture backed by Sequoia Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Tenaya Capital.
