Other Machine Co. Acquired By MakerBot Co-Founder
Berkeley-based Other Machine Co., a developer of rapid prototyping hardware which can fabricate PC boards (PCBs) and precision parts out of aluminum, Delrin, and other materials, has been acquired by Bre Pettis, former co-founder and CEO of MakerBot. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Other Machine Co. is led by CEO Dr. Danielle Applestone, who will continue to lead the company. Other Machine Co.'s machines cost around $3,100 each.
