Packagd Picks Up $7.5M
San Francisco-based Packagd, a new startup created by former Hulu CTO and former Flipboard CTO Eric Feng, and incubated at Kleiner Perkins, said it has launched out of stealth with $6M in a Series A investment. The funding was led by Forerunner Ventures and GV (formerly Google Ventures), on top of an earlier $1.5M in seed funding from KPCB. Packagd says it offers up curated live shows of the "hottest tech products, gadgets and devices" via mobile devices, and was inspired by HSN and QVC. The company's first app is Unboxed.
