Tonbo Imaging Sees $17M For Night Vision Technology
Palo Alto- and Bangalore-based Tonbo Imaging, a manufacturer of night vision imaging systems for the defense, surveillance, and transportation markets, said this week that it has raised $17M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by WRV Capital, and also included Artiman Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, and Edelweiss Private Equity. Tombo said it was advised by Veda Corporate Advisors in the funding round. Tonbo is using consumer electronics hardware to more quickly provide night vision systems to the defense market, saying it is "democratizing night vision imaging" technology.
