Google Buys Pixel Smartphone Team From HTC For $1.1 Billion
Mountain View-based Google and HTC Corporation said this morning that Google will pay $1.1 billion in cash to HTC and will hire a number of employees of HTC working on Google's Pixel smartphone. As part of the deal, Google will receive a non-exclusive license to HTC's intellectual property used in its phones.
