Equinix Acquires Itconic For $295M
Redwood City-based Equinix announced this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Itconic, a data center operator and cloud services company serving Spain and Portugal. The deal was worth $295M in cash. The deal also included Cloudmas, an Itconic subsidiary. Itconic was previously owned by private equity investor The Carlyle Group. Equinix said the deal adds five data centers in total, located in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Lisbon.
