Palo Alto-based
Cyanogen, which had been developing Android technology, is now known as
Cyngn, and appears to have pivoted to self driving automobile software. Cyngn now lists a large number of positions related to self-driving cars on its website, and also has applied to test self-driving cars in California. Cyngn had previously raised more than $115M in funding from such investors as Andreessen Horowitz, Benchmark, Index Ventures, Redpoint, Qualcomm, and Tencent for its Android OS efforts.
