Botanic Technologies Finds New Funding For Bot Software
Emeryville-based Botanic Technologies, a developer of "bot" software, has raised a funding round from Outlier Ventures, the company said on Monday. Botanic said it is developing a toolkit to help in the creation and deployment of bots, including chatbots, assistants and conversational avatars. As part of the funding, the company said it has licensed its technology to Seed Vault Ltd., and will offer up its technologies through a Blockchain-based initial coin offering (ICO) sometime in early 2018. Size of the funding round was not announced.
