Francisco Partners, which has offices in San Francisco and London, says it has raised $3.975 billion in its latest fund,
Francisco Partners V (FP V). The firm said the fund is its largest to date, and was oversubscribed. Francisco also said the fund was raised in less than six months, bringing its total committed capital to $14 billion since it was started 18 years ago. Francisco Partners explained the new fund will go towards investing in companies across the technology ecosystem, particularly companies in the Communications, FinTech, Healthcare IT, Internet, Security, and Software and Systems areas.
