San Francisco-based game engine developer
Unity Technologies has acquired UK-based
Multiplay Ltd, as well as its game hosting business, from
GAME Digital plc, the company announced today. Unity is paying approximately $29.39M for Multiplay. According to the companies, GAME Digital's events business and IP will remain with GAME. Multiplay serves up such game titles as Titanfall2, Rocket League (Psyonix), and Rust (Facepunch Studios).
