PayPal Holdings said this morning that
TIO Networks, the publicly traded payment processor it acquired in July, has potentially had a compromise of the personally identifiable information for approximately 1.6 million customers. PayPal had suspended the operations of TIO Networks in November, when it detected the breach. According to PayPal, its investigation of the breach found evidence of unauthorized access to TIO's network, including location storing personal information of TIO's customers, and also the customers of the billers using TIO Networks.
