eHealth Buys GoMedigap
Mountain View-based eHealth, which operates an online health insurance exchange, says it has acquired Austin, Texas-based GoMedigap, which operates an online marketplace for Medicare Supplement plans. eHealth said it would pay $30M in cash and common stock, plus up to an additional $30M in earnout, for GoMedigap (Health, Wealth and Life Advisors, LLC). GoMedigap's co-CEOs are Richard Cantu and Kevin Walbrick. GoMedigap will remain in the Austin, Texas area at its current offices.
