BehavioSec Gets $17.5M For Biometrics Software
Palo Alto-based BehavioSec, a developer of authentication software which uses biometric markers like keystroke cadence and finger pressure to uniquely identify users, has raised $17.5M in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by Trident Capital Cybersecurity, and also included ABN Amro, Cisco Investments, Octopus Ventures and Conor Venture Partners. ABN AMRO's investment came from the ABN AMRO Digital Impact Fund. Both Alberto Yepez and Ken Gonzalez of Trident Cybersecurity will join the company's board with the funding. BehavioSec will relocate its headquarters to Palo Alto from Lulea, Sweden, as a result of the funding.
