Salesforce Acquires MuleSoft For $6.5 Billion
San Francisco-based Salesforce said on Tuesday that it will acquire San Francisco-based MuleSoft, in a deal with an enterprise value of $6.5 billion. According to the companies, Salesforce will pay $36.00 in cash and 0.0711 shares of Salesforce common stock per MuleSoft Class A and Class B common share, or approximately $44.89 based on Salesforce's common stock on March 19th. The two said the offer is a 36 percent premium over MuleSoft's closing price as of Monday. MuleSoft's software is used by enterprises to modernize legacy apps and connect to Salesforce and SAP.
