Verifone Acquired By Francisco Partners For $3.4 Billion
San Jose-based Verifone has been acquired by private equity investor Francisco Partners, in a deal worth $3.4 billion, the companies said late Monday. Francisco Partners said its investor group, which also included British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), would pay $23.04 per share in cash for publicly traded Verifone, which includes Verifone's net debt. Verifone is a provider of payment and e-commerce software and services.
