Verkada Sees $15M
San Mateo-based Verkada, a developer of computer vision systems used for video security at businesses and schools, has raised $15M in a Series A funding round. The fund was led by Next47, the venture capita fund of Siemens, and also included First Round Capital, and angels Hans Robertson and Hector Gacria-Molina. Vekada says it is developing "next-generation" video security systems which include such features are sharing live feeds via SMS text and email. Verkada's CEO and co-founder is Filip Kaliszan.
