San Francisco- and Berlin-based
Prisma, a developer of open source software used for adding support for the GraphQL data query language with any database, has raised $4.5M in a seed funding, the company said today. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and also included System.One, plus angels Fathom, Nick Schrock (creator of GraphQL), Robin Vasan (Investor HashiCorp/Couchbase/Influx), Nicolas Dessaigne (CEO Algolia), Spencer Kimball (CEO Cockroach Labs), Augusto Marietti (CEO Kong) and Guillermo Rauch (CEO Zeit). GraphQL is a data query language originally developed by Facebook.
