Oakland-based
Boxbot, a startup developing self-driving delivery robots whose founders were previously at Tesla and Uber, has raised $7.5M in a seed funding, according to the company. The company said the round was led by Artiman Ventures, and also included Toyota AI Ventures, a subsidiary of Toyota Research Institute that invests in early-stage startups in artificial intelligence, data/cloud, autonomous mobility, and robotics. The funding also included Pear Ventures, Afore Capital, Ironfire Ventures and The House Fund. Boxbot's founders are Austin Oehlerking and Mark Godwin.
