Agilent Buys Young In Scientific Co. Ltd.
Santa Clara-based Agilent said late Friday that it has completed its acquisition of South Korean company Young In Scientific Co. Ltd. and its affiliates, in an asset acquisition deal. YI Scientific is a distributor of analytical and scientific instruments in South Korea, and has been a longtime distributor of Agilent's products, according to Agilent. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Agilent said it will add approximately 118 employees from YI Scientific and its affiliates to the company.
