AllTrails Acquired By Spectrum Equity
San Francisco-based AllTrails, which operates an online guide to trails and other outdoors areas, has been acquired by private equity investor Spectrum Equity. The deal was worth $75M. According to Spectrum Equity, the new investment will go towards helping accelerate product development and add more trial content from around the world, as well as to grow AllTrails' user base. AllTrails is led by CEO Jade Van Doren and COO Ron Schneidermann. The company says it has more than 9 million registered users.
