Intel said on Tuesday that it has acquired
Omnitek, a developer and vision FPGA intellectual property (IP), used for vision and artificial intelligence processing. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Omnitek is based in Basingstoke, England. According to Intel, the acquisition will complement its FPGA business, and help delivery FPGAs for video, vision, an AI applications running on Intel FPGAs. Intel said Omnitek's IP is used in areas such as video conferencing, projection and display, and medical vision systems.
