MuleSource Hires SpringSource's Schott As CEO

San Francisco-based MuleSource, a publisher of open-source, service-oriented architecture infrastructure software, reported Monday that it has hired Greg Schott as chief executive officer. Schott, the firm noted, hails from open-source Java infrastructure software maker SpringSource, where he was senior vice president of marketing. Before that, MuleSource said, he was senior vice president of marketing and vice president of corporate development at Agile Software. He has also served as vice president of marketing and vice president of operations for DG Systems, MuleSource added. Founded in 2006, MuleSource is a privately held company backed by Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Morgenthaler Ventures.
