    Attributor Acquired By Digimarc
    San Mateo-based Attributor, which develops software to protect electronic books from online piracy, has been acquired by Digimarc Corporation. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Digimarc is a developer of digital watermarking technology. Attributor's backers included Amicus Capital
    Draper Richards, First Round Capital, JAFCO American Ventures, Selby Ventures, and Sigma Partners.

    Google Backs TrueLens
    TrueLens, a developer of social data and marketing analysis tools, said monday that it has raised $1.2M in a funding round. The funding round was led by Google Ventures, and also included Charles River Ventures, Common Angels, 500 Startups and Boston Seed. TrueLens is based in Boston, Mass.

    Plivo Gets $1.75M In Seed Funding For Telephony APIs
    San Francisco-based Plivo, a developer of telephony APIs, said today that it has raised $1.75M in a seed funding round. The round came from Andreessen Horowitz, Battery Ventures, Qualcomm Incorporated and SV Angel. Plivo operates a platform which lets developers create voice and SMS app (More info...)

    Synopsys Completes SpringSoft Buy
    Mountain View-based Synopsys said Sunday that it has completed its acquisition of Taiwanese IC design software maker SpringSoft. THe deal was worth approximately $417M. Synopsys had announced the acquisition in October. Synopsys said the buy increases its investment in Taiwan, grows its local engineering expertise, and will help in the delivery of its system-on-a-chip debug products and tools.
