    FleetUp Finds $5M
    Milpitas-based FleetUp, a developer of compliance software for the fleet management market, has raised $5M in a Series B funding, the company announced on Wednesday. The funding was led by HUMAX, the parent company of vehicle infotainment and communications supplier HUMAX Automotive. The firm asid the funds go twoards product innovation, customer acquisition, customer support, operations, and go to market. FleetUp is led by CEO Sam Lee.

    Creativebug Acquired By Jo-Ann Stores
    San Francisco-based Creativebug, which produces educational videos for the arts and crafts market, has been acquired by Jo-Ann Stores, the arts and crafts retailer. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Creativebug will continue to be based in San Francisco, and will continue to be led by President and CEO Ursula Morgan. Creativebug was most recently owned by Otter Media, the joint venture (More info...)

    Plume Plugs Into $27.5M For Mesh Wi-Fi Hardware
    Palo Alto-based Plume, a developer of mesh, Wi-Fi networking hardware aimed at providing better wireless service through a network of small, distributed access points, disclosed today that it has raised $27.5M in funding. The funding was led by Comcast, and included Jackson Square Ventures, Spark Capital and Liberty Global Ventures. Plume's system revolves around a collection of small "pods" which can be plugged into a room to add better Wi-Fi covera (More info...)

    Zyme Acquired By Insight Venture Partners For $100M
    Redwood Shores-based Zyme, a developer of channel marketing and sales management software, has been acquired by Insight Venture Partners, in a deal worth more than $100M. According to Zyme, it had reached a definitive agreement to sell a majority ownership to Insight, with a buyout of a majority of existing investors and shareholders of the company, including early investor Susquehanna Growth Equity. Chandran Sankaran is CEO of Zyme.
