    Gridtential Raises $11M For Battery Storage Technology
    Santa Clara-based Gridtential, a developer of energy storage technology, says it has raised $11M in a Series B. the funding was led by 1955 Capital, and also included East Penn Manufacturing, Crown Battery Manufacturing, Leoch International and Power-Sonic Inc., along with The Roda Group and Ray Kubis. As part of the funding, 1955 Capita's Andrew Chung joins the company's board of directors.

    Francisco Partners Acquires Majority Of NMI
    San Francisco-based private equity investor Francisco Partners has made a majority investment in Illinois-based NMI, a developer of payment technology for ISOs, VARs, ISVs and payment facilitators. Financial details of the investment were not announced. According to NMI, its existing investor, Bregal Sagemount, has exited the company, with Great Hill Partners remaining a "significant" shareholder. Roy Banks is CEO of NMI.
