    Aquantia Files For IPO
    San Jose-based Aquantia has filed for an IPO, saying in an S-1 filing that it is looking to raise up to $86.25M in an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. The company has applied to list as AQ. The IPO is being underwritten by Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Deutsche Bank Securities, Needham & Company, and Raymond James.     Sourcegraph Scores $20M For Software Tools
    San Francisco-based Sourcegraph, a developer of collaborative source code development tools, said last week that it has raised $20M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Redpoint Ventures and also included Goldcrest Capital. Redpoint's Scott Raney and Goldcrest's Dan Friedland have both joined the company's board as a result of the funding round.

    UrbanSitter Adds $17M For Babysitting Marketplace
    San Francisco-based UrbanSitter, which operates a mobile, on-demand marketplace for babysitting and child care services, said last week that it has raised $17M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Advance Venture Partners, and also included Canaan Partners, Aspect Ventures, DBL Investors, First Round Capital, Menlo Ventures and Rustic Canyon Partners.     Kongregate Buys Synapse Games
    San Francisco-based Kongregate said last week that it has acquired Synapse Games, the developer of such games as War Metal Tyrant, Global Assault, Castaway Cove, and other titles. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Kongregate said that Synapse will continue to build titles for Kongregate's service. Synapse Games was founded in 2009 in Chicago, by Alex Reeve, and had 22 employees.

    Splunk Acquires Rocana
    San Francisco-based Splunk announced this morning that it has acquired select assets of Rocana, a developer of analytics software for the IT market. Financial terms of the cash acquisition were not announced. According to Splunk, it acquired the technology and intellectual property assets of Rocana, and also will hire "a number" of Rocana's technical employees in the buy, which was funded from its balance sheet.
