Plaid Picks Up $44M
San Francisco-based Plaid Technologies, a developer of software which helps applications to connect to a user's bank accounts, has raised $44M in a new funding round, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Goldman Sachs Investment Partners. New Enterprise Associates (NEA) also participated in the funding. Plaid is led by Zach Perret; the company helps app developers such as Venmo, Gusto, OptionsHouse, TransferWise, and charity:water connect their back end operations via APIs to bank account information for their users.
