Playground Global Gets $48M For Hardware Incubator

Playground Global, a new hardware startup incubator founded by Android co-founder Andy Rubin, has raised $48M in a funding round. The funding came from Google, Hewlett-Packard, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., and Redpoint Ventures. Rubin joins Redpoint as a Venture Partner as part of the deal.
