Poniard Pharmaceuticals Scores $6.3M

South San Francisco-based Poinard Pharmaceuticals, a publicly held biopharmaceuticals firm, said today that it has raised $6.3M in a share sale to Commerce Court Small Cap Value Fund, Ltd. The firm said the funding will go to fund continued development of its treatments for small cell lung cancer.
