PureWave Networks Captures $12M

Mountain View-based PureWave Networks, which is developing 4G wireless base stations, said Thursday afternoon that the firm has raised $12M in a Series B funding round. The firm said the funding came from ATA Ventures and Leapfrog Ventures, along with prior investors Allegis Capital and Benhamou Global Ventures. The firm said the funding will go towards commercial introduction of its WiMAX base stations. PureWave's base stations for the WiMAX market are designed for outdoor installation.
