RayVio Sees $9.3M For UV LEDs
Hayward, California-based RayVio, a developer of UV LED technology, said today that it has raised $9.3M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Applied Ventures, Augment Ventures, New Ground Ventures, Tolero Ventures, along with DCM Ventures and Capricorn Investment Group. RayVio is developing energy efficient, LED lighting products in the UV (ultraviolet) spectrum, which can be used for water purification, disinfection, and other applications. The startup is led by Dr. Robert C. Walker. The company said the funding will go towards moving the company to mass adoption of its products. More information »
