Schooner Information Technology Raises $20M

Menlo Park-based Schooner Information Technology, which develops appliances focused on Web 2.0 and cloud computing data centers, said Monday that it has raised $20M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, and also included prior investors CMEA Capital and Redpoint Ventures. The firm said the funding will go towards development of its technology and expansion of worldwide distribution. Separately, the firm said that it has appointed Mark Lohmeyer as its VP of Products. Lohmeyer was most recently at Symantec Corporation/VERITAS. More information »
