Silicon Graphics Names CFO

Silicon Graphics Inc. reported Tuesday that Greg Wood has joined the company as chief financial officer. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based manufacturer of high-performance networking and storage equipment said Wood succeeds Kathy Lanterman, who has been with the company for 10 years and has served as CFO since 2006. Lanterman, SGI noted, will step down Nov. 10 and will remain with the company for a few weeks to assist with Wood’s transition. SGI described Wood as a 25-year financial leadership veteran who most recently served as chief executive officer for Pro Tools Solutions. Prior to that, he held CFO roles with several firms, including Liberate Technologies and Intertrust Technologies.
