Smyte Snags $4M To Combat Email Spam

San Francisco-based Smyte, a cybersecurity startup focused on combating email spam, said last week that has raised $4M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Avalon Ventures, and also included Baseline Ventures, Founder Collective, Harrison Metal, Upside Partnership and Y Combinator. Smyte's founders include Pete Hunt (Facebook's React.js), Julian Tempelsman (Google), and Josh Yudaken (Instagram). The company said it has now raised $6.25M in total.
