Sonoa Snags Exec From Microsoft

Santa Clara-based Sonoa Systems said today that it has hired away Sam Ramji,senior director of platform strategy at Microsoft, to direct product strategy and business development at the firm. Sonoa, which is venture backed by Norwest Venture Partners, Bay Partners, Third Point Ventures and SAP Ventures, said that Ramji will help the firm with vision, strategy, partnership, and scaling of the firm's business operations. Ramji has also served at BEA and Ofoto, and was head of the Ofoto's engineering team when it was acquired by Kodak. Sonoa is developing software and technology around SOA and other APIs.
