Splunk Names Ops VP
San Francisco-based Splunk, a developer of software used to search and monitor IT infrastructure, reports today that it has hired on Tom Schodorf, former VP and General Manager of BMC Software, has been named Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at the firm. Schodorf had been at BMC for 17 years, most recently as VP and Gm of BMC's Identify business unit. Schodorf has also previously worked at IBM. Splunk is backed by Ignition Partners, August Capital, JK&B Capital, and Sevin Rosen Funds.
