Miyowa Takes $8M For Mobile Applications, Sets Up Shop In Cupertino

Miyowa, a Paris-based firm with U.S. operations based out of Cupertino, said today that it has raised $8M in a second round of funding. Funding came from Techfund and Credit Agricole Private Equity. Miyowa develops rich media mobile applications for the mobile market. According to the firm, the funding will go to accelerate commercialization of its products, and expand its operations into the U.S. and Asia. The round brings the company's total raised to $12.7M. Miyowa said that it has opened offices in Cupertino and Singapore, with the U.S. operations being led by Sergio De Acha; the company's CEO, Pascal Lorne, will also relocate to the U.S. More information »
