Aviram Networks Buys Nevis Networks

San Jose-based Nevis Networks, a developer of LAN security and access control products, said late Wednesday that subsantially all of the firm's assets have been acquired by Aviram Networks. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Nevis, the deal included Nevis operations in the US, China, and India, including employees in engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support. In addition, the acquisition included all of the firm's products, technology, and intellectual property. Nevis Networks was venture backed by BlueRun Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, New Path Ventures, and Nokia Venture Partners. The firm had raised north of $32M in venture funding since 2003.
