3VR Security Raises $12M
San Francisco-based 3VR Security, a provider of digital video surveillance products, confirmed today that it has raised $12M in a Series D funding round. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with Menlo's Sonia Hoel Perkins joining the firm's board as part of the funding. 3VR develops a searchable, video surveillance system that combines digital video recording, motion detection, and facial recognition features. 3VR Systems has previously raised funding from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Buyers, Menlo Ventures, VantagePoint Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and DAG Ventures. silicontap.com had identified the funding yesterday via regulatory filings.
