Chegg Expands Into Class Scheduling, Homework Help

Santa Clara-based Chegg, the provider of online textbook rentals, said Thursday that it has expanded into class scheduling and homework help. Chegg said the new features are part of a move to increase personalization features, including providing information about classes and professors and course advice. The company explained the move is part of a strategic investment to expand beyond textbook rentals. Chegg is venture backed by Ace Investments, Foundation Capital, Gabriel Venture Partners, Insight Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and Primera Capital.
