ToyTalk Raises $3.5M, Headed by ex-Pixar CTO

Piedmont, California-based ToyTalk, a stealth mode firm developing mobile applications, has raised $3.5M in a Series A funding round, according to a recent regulatory filing by the firm. The filing indicates the company is in the midst of a $4.25M funding effort. The firm has added David Sze, a venture capitalist at Greylock Partners, to its board as part of the funding, according to the filing. ToyTalk is headed by Oren Jacob, most recently Entrepreneur-In-Residence at August Capital, and the CTO of Pixar. More information »
