BackOps Gets $1.5M For Back Office Services Which Empower Women

San Francisco-based BackOps, which provides back office services such as accounting, HR, finance, and other services to small and medium sized businesses, has raised $1.5M in a Series A funding round. The funding came from Sherpa Ventures, e.ventures, Google Ventures, along with CrunchFund and Mark Pincus. BackOps allows professional women to work at home, through a suite of software, to help support its customers. The company said the company was formed with the idea that educated women shouldn't have to choose between caring for their young children and maintaining their professional identity.
