RealtyShares Picks Up $10M

San Francisco-based crowdsourced real estate investing marketplace RealtyShares announced today that it has raised $10M in a Series A funding round, from Menlo Ventures and General Catalyst Partners, along with 500 Startups. Menlo Ventures' John Jarve joins the company's board. RealtyShares is led by Nav Athwal, and enables peer-to-peer lending in the real estate market, letting investors put small amounts of money into the projects of professional real estate developers and borrowers.
