Blend Gets $6.3M For Trendy Social App

San Jose-based Blend, a developer of a social app that is hoping to encourage millenials, brands, celebrities, and charities to interact together, has raised $6.3 in a series A funding. The funding was led by New Enterprise Associates, and also included Metamorphic Ventures, Red Sea Ventures, Great Oaks Capital, the Al Nowais family (Waha Capital), along with CAA Ventures, Foundation Capital, Galvanize Ventures, BaseVC, and others. Blend said that NEA's Sheel Tyle joins the board with its funding.
