BlueData Gets $20M From Intel, Others

Mountain View-based big data software developer BlueData said today that it has raised $20M in a Series C funding. The funding was led by Intel Capital, as well as Amplify Partners, Atlantic Bridge, and Ignition Partners, plus an un-named, strategic investor. The company, which develops big data infrastructure management software, said the round was oversubscribed. Intel executive Doug Fisher joins BlueData's board along with the funding, although the actual investment from Intel was led by Igor Taber. Kumar Sreekanti is the co-founder and CEO of BlueData.
