Larry Ellison Donates $200M To Create Cancer Research Center
Larry Ellison, the founder of Redwood Shores-based Oracle, has donated $200 million of his personal fortune to create a new cancer research center at the University of Southern California. Ellison and USC said that the new Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC will focus on the prevention and treatment of cancer. Ellison is USC's commencement speaker at its graduation coming up on Friday.
